Get Your Film Made with Gary Delany

A one hour presentation with Q & A’s by Gary Delaney, Producer of Gridiron UK on how supporting the British Film Industry in Cheshire can help new and existing businesses.


This will be followed with an update on the progress of the feature film Gridiron UK,

to be filmed entirely on location in Crewe this summer.

Gary will be introducing a new incentive called ‘Get your Film made’ and talking in general about attracting film production to the region.

Ruth Clemens, who came second in the Great British Bake, will also be giving a short presentation. Ruth was a stay at home mum before she took part in the programme but when filming finished she was inspired to go on to start her own business, The Pink Whisk, which she runs from home.

Englesea Brook celebrating Weddings through the ages in Crewe

Englesea Brook will celebrate the Royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton with a display of wedding dresses past and present.

The display will be unveiled over the Easter weekend and over the Royal wedding at the local chapel.

Everyone is invited to visit the museum to share the 'Big Day' wedding styles of the past.

Museum officer Margaret Veal is appealing for anyone with a mannequin, model or tailor's dummy to loan it to the museum over this period to help Crewe's royal celebrations.

Betley Farmers Market in Crewe to celebrate local producers

Betley Village Hall will showcase Crewe's finest producers this weekend as it hosts Betley's Farmers Market.

Visitors will be able to support regional farmers selling their pork, beef, cheese and breads as well as stalls selling chocolate, pies and cakes.

There will also be an opportunity to browse through a selection of stalls selling unique gifts and crafts.

The market is open between 9.30 and 13.00 on Saturday 17th April.

Free parking and refreshments are available with a playground for children (if there not tucking into some tasty treats!)
